Mit 17 entdeckte man Wi-Told (Witold Simon) bei einer Musikveranstaltung als Sänger und engagierte ihn für die Schüler-Band "Rebirth". Danach wechselte er nahtlos zu "Perfect Picture" mit denen er 1988 beim ersten Musik-Szene-Saar-Contest den allerersten Saar-Rocky der Sparte "Pop" gewann.

1992 entzog sich Wi-Told der Musikszene, um seiner Arbeit als Dipl.-Ing. gerecht zu werden. Nach jahrelanger Pause komponierte er wieder still und heimlich und zwar so viele Songs, dass es mittlerweile für mehrere CDs reichen würde. So fing er in seiner Freizeit 2004 mit der Produktion seines ersten eigenen CD-Projekts "Family-Stories" an welches nun 2008 auf den Markt gekommen ist.

Die Songs auf dem Album "Family-Stories" spiegeln Geschichten, Situationen und Ereignisse wider, die sich unmittelbar in der eigenen Familie, sowie in Familien von Freunden zugetragen haben. Auslöser der Produktion des Albums war der Song "My father is a singer", den Wi-Told für seinen Vater schrieb. Wi-Tolds Vater, der als Opernchorsänger des Staatstheaters Saarbrücken seinen Lebensunterhalt bestritt, bedauerte den Umstand, seinen Sohn musikalisch an die Popmusik zu verlieren. So kam es, dass die beiden auf dieser Ebene in all den Jahren kein einziges Mal zusammen arbeiteten.

Mit "My father is a singer" beseitigte Wi-Told nicht nur wieder einmal die musikalische Kluft zwischen Pop und Klassik, sondern auch jene zwischen Vater und Sohn.

Wi-Told gastiert als Sänger bei der "Jo Fuchs Band" sowie als Mann am Piano und Gesang bei den "Soirrées à Molières". Des Weiteren arbeitet Wi-Told musikalisch zusammen mit: Nicole Jo. (Nicole Jo. needs 2B funky), Stefan Johänntgen (Nicole Jo. needs 2B funky), Miko Vogelgesang (Noblesse Oblige), Gerhard Bungert, Hans Mittermüller.

Wi-Told's career as a singer started at the age of 17 at a music event, where he was commissioned for the college band Rebirth. He later moved seamlessly on to Perfect Picture, with whom he won the first ever "Saar Rocky" for the Pop category at the first "Musik Szene Saar" contest in 1988.
In 1992 Wi-Told (aka Witold Simon) withdrew from the music scene in order to pursue his professional career as an engineer. After a break of several years he secretly started to write songs again - indeed, so many songs that soon he had enough to fill several CDs. In 2004 he therefore used his spare time to start producing his first CD, Family Stories, which has just been released.
The songs on the album Family Stories describe situations and events that occurred in his own family or in the families of friends. The creation of the album was triggered by the song "My Father is a Singer", which Wi-Told wrote for his father. Wi-Told's father, who worked as a singer for the opera choir at the Staatstheater Saarbrücken, resented the fact that his son had been "lost" to pop music. As a result, the two of them had never worked together musically in all those years.
With "My Father is a Singer" Wi-Told not only managed to overcome the musical chasm between pop and classic, but also between father and son.
Wi-Told's debut album Family Stories ranges from perceptive ballads to different styles within the rock and pop catalogue to up-tempo pieces and power songs. One of the songs on the CD - "Jo-Jo" - is performed in French. The versatility of the songs is a reflection of Wi-Told's broad range of interests and skills, which are impressive on many levels, whether in his role as singer, songwriter or producer.
